Review from a Transgressive Fiction Fan
I love a good Irvine Welsh novel. I will now be the first in line to read anything he’s going to write. This completes my journey as I’ve read everything he’s written and I have to say that saddens me. I may just have to go back and start over. This was not my favorite Welsh novel, but I’ll take it and anything else this magnificent maniac has to write.
“Insightful” Review from a Mainstream Reader
I did feel “filthy” after reading this book. For one, it was difficult to read due to Scottish slang, but once you got past that, all the rest of the words were fowl. The main character was clearly disturbed and extremely gross…..I don’t know any other way to describe him. Skip this one…..there are too many good books in the world to waste your time on this.
