Review from a Transgressive Fiction Fan

A wonderful collection of poetry and mystical writings. As someone who has never read Crowley nor dabbled in Quabalah or readings on magick, I was constantly amused, bedazzled, humoured, and awed by Crowley’s wit and use of language. Despite what one may think of his character or lifestyle, his talent with a pen is undeniable. What makes The Book of Lies work is that each chapter is very short, but dense enough with symbolism and imagery to pack a lot of meaning at once. The provided commentaries provide wonderful explanation, line by line, of what is being discussed in the chapter.

“Insightful” Review from a Mainstream Reader

The Book of Lies should be called The Book of Crap. It’s so full of shit. I hated this crap! This is really crap, seriously. I regret the €8 I paid for this! I had so many better things to do with that money.
